We have this project slated for photography this spring!
This project included one of the most challenging tree preservation plans in our experience. With a building that covered most of the site plus parking, the City was very keen to make sure they had every single caliper inch of trees replaced.
With over 375 trees to be categorized as preserved or removed, the formula for tree replacement came to 246 trees to be replaced. We replaced as many as we could on site, and the client had to pay into the tree fund for the rest.
JMAC was the architect on this project and Jim McKay and the client requested an “alpine, foothills of the Rocky’s” style plant palette, so the design has boulders, native grasses and course textured evergreens, as well as Quaking Aspens in certain focal points.
